KP Menswear Runway '23

Kennedy Parker hosted runway event “Shoes, Booze and Style for the Boys” as part of Adelaide Fashion Week. Held in beautiful, historical Gay’s Arcade, the event was a celebration of men’s style, showcasing men’s fashion from a boutique perspective.

The event was created to shine a spotlight on local menswear, one of a small handful of menswear events in the festival. The runway looks combined tailoring, vintage and boutique fashions from stores around Adelaide, all styled with Kennedy Parker shoes.

Slick Lobster Barbers began the night by performing a live makeover on the runway, showcasing a haircut and beard trim while explaining their technique to the audience.

The runway show featured 9 looks across various styles, levels of formality, and age suitability.

We paired this 1960s boiler suit with a vintage Polo by Ralph Lauren Tee, aviator sunglasses and hand crafted jewellery. The Fitzroy oily nubuck boot in Cocoa gave the outfit a substantial look and kept it fashion-forward instead of costume.

Our model Dave styled this fluorescent sequin jacket with fisherman’s pants and clean white sneakers for a fun going-out look. The clean white shoe is logo free, allowing the outfit to speak for itself.

This luxe sportswear vibe was achieved with a high neck cotton zip-up bomber jacket and relaxed cargo cotton pants. The hat and crossbody bag adds a luxe streetwear tone. The Trentin Brogue Boot adds some gravitas to the look.

This Ivy/streetwear look started with the vintage Fletcher Jones tartan shirt and the model loved the black penny loafers. We paired them with a long sleeved tee and oversized pants, and finished the look with chunky black handmade jewellery.
